Exfoliation 1:1
Exfoliation is an essential part of waxing aftercare, yet it's often the step we skip. But let’s chat about why adding this simple move to your skincare routine can make all the difference!
What Is Exfoliation?
Exfoliation is like hitting refresh on your skin! It’s the process of sloughing off dead skin cells, which helps boost cell turnover. There are two main types: chemical exfoliants (which break down those dead skin cells with enzymes) and mechanical exfoliants (gritty particles that give you that satisfying scrub).
Why Should I Exfoliate?
Exfoliating clears away debris, fights oil buildup, kicks bacteria to the curb, and evens out pigmentation. Plus, it reveals that glowing, radiant skin you deserve! Skipping exfoliation can lead to dry, dull skin—and dry skin is the enemy of smooth waxing. It sucks moisture from the wax, making it brittle, which leads to hair breakage and, yep, you guessed it, annoying ingrown hairs!
When Should I Exfoliate?
Timing is key! Give your skin at least 48 hours to recover after waxing before you exfoliate. This way, you won't aggravate any post-wax redness. Aim to exfoliate 2-3 times a week for best results—but don’t overdo it! Too much exfoliation strips your skin’s natural oils, leaving it irritated.
We recommend adding our Turmeric Scrub to your post-wax routine. Made with turmeric, vitamin C, and raw sugar, it gently exfoliates to prevent ingrown hairs and fade dark spots.
Use 2–3 times a week then moisturize for the best results.
